The fact of the matter is, personal development is key if you want to uplevel your life, help others or show up more in your life.

I’ve compiled a list of 10 of the best personal development books that have helped myself as well as thousands before me do more and be more in whatever way that means for each one of us.

I do have to say, all of these books have the potential to change your life. 

And yes, I realize how clique that sounds but look, they’re only going to work if you use them which I highly recommend doing.

 This book took the internet by storm when it was released in February of this year and with 4.5 stars and over 7k reviews, this book is a solid winner.

Girl Wash Your Face pulls back the curtain and reveals the lies we’ve been told and have told ourselves again and again that prevent us from living our best lives. This book will make you laugh, cry and everything in between.

But above all, it will show you how to live with passion and hustle in balance.

 

2. The Power of Now

 We live in a world that moves faster than the speed of light. #science Which means we’re always thinking ahead to dinners, our five-year plan, maybe even to when we’re done with a meeting that’s taking way too long.

The Power of Now teaches us to live in the present and shows us the immense power of our minds and how to use our thoughts for good.

This book is extremely powerful in its teachings and one that will change your perception on time forever.

 

3. Awaken the Giant Within

 This book may be an oldie, but trust me, the principles taught in this book are timeless.

Awaken the Giant Within takes a deep dive into improving your life through proven step-by-step strategies to master the most important aspects of life,  your emotions, your body, your mind, your relationships and your finances.

This book speaks for itself. Tony Robbins knows his stuff.

 

4. The Magic

 When was the last time you felt truly grateful? I mean like really grateful and not just when someone gives you a gift or offers to pay for your dinner.

The Magic, a bit less popular but than its counterpart, The Secret, but even more powerful, takes you on a 28-day journey to using gratitude in your everyday life.

The more gratitude we give, we more we receive in return and this book teaches you just that.

If you’re looking to change your life with easy and actionable practices, this book is for you and it’s really powerful.

 

5. Think and Grow Rich

 This book was originally written in 1937 by Napolean Hill which I realize is a long time ago but bear with me.

Think and Grow Rich, while, yes an older book is timeless in its lessons. Napolean Hill studied some of the most successful people of his time, including Henry Ford and Alexander Graham Bell.

If you’re looking to learn a few life lessons from some of the most influential men in history, this book is for you.

 

6. You Are A Badass

 This book is on everyone’s list but I didn’t purchase it until just a few months ago and this is one book I wish I had years ago. And I reference it all the time!

You Are a Badass is at times so relatable it’s scary. I got a neck cramp from nodding up and down so much as I was reading through this book.

Jen Sincero’s no-nonsense way of writing is refreshing and the perfect compliment to her own real-life stories she shares throughout this book to really help you level up your life in ways you didn’t even know were possible.

This what Mel Robbins teaches in her book, The 5 Second Rule.

 I’m just going to be honest upfront, this book may be a bit too “woo woo” for some because the main focus is the Law of Attraction and attracting more money into your life.

With that being said, Unleash Your Inner Money Babe is filled with 21 days of lessons made specifically to change your relationship with money and how you think about it.

If you want to bring more money into your life and learn just how powerful the mind is when it comes to money and how much we have or don’t have, this book is for you 100%.

 Chalene Johnson, New York Times Best Seller, business coach and creator of the 1-3-1 method sets your goals on fire with her book, Push.
